The Family Space

The Family Space is a family coaching practice where therapists aim to help families with children connect and thrive. Through positive parenting classes, private consultations and workshops The Family Space help families feel better equipped to address whatever their issues are. Children can be great sources of joy, but also great sources of stress and it can be hard to know how to navigate our way through as individuals, couples and families so that life together feels relatively calm, manageable and – dare we say it – happy!

With backgrounds in psychology, family therapy, human development and parenting Susie and Suzanne launched The Family Space in 2018. As mothers themselves they understand, first hand, the challenges of family life (Susie is also a step-mum and specialises in stepfamily well-being). Together, they are passionate about the effect that empathic insight and evidence based strategies can have on both individual and family wellbeing.

The greatest tips they can offer? Practise self care religiously, familiarise yourself with your triggers, discover your own calming strategies and parent with empathy and respect.

Easier said than done? Come to their 6 week course to learn and develop specific skills that we wish we were all gifted with at birth…in the words of one of our participants “two hours at session 1 and I feel as though a transformation has taken place with me and my 3 year old. I hope you too get the goosebumps I feel at knowing that what you do has a profound impact on the lives of others for the better.”
