Balanced Self

Sara created Balanced Self to integrate modern Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques with the ancient practice of Yoga.

Balanced Self offers a holistic approach to well-being. It is Sara’s belief that the mind and body must be understood as one entity.  Through Yoga and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy you will be able to identify and break free from the grip of unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours to become your new balanced self.

Through Balanced Self, Sara offers Private CBT therapy and private yoga.

Private CBT therapy sessions allow time to unravel unhelpful beliefs that are driving everyday thoughts, behaviours, which are affecting how you feel. Sara will then help you to learn effective techniques for the here and now to manage these thoughts and behaviours.

The private yoga will be designed specifically to your needs, whether they are emotional, physical or spiritual. This is a one on one experience where Sara uses CBT skills to help you connect to your thoughts and feelings by using your body. This is like no other private yoga class.

Group yoga classes also run every Thursday.

These classes offer an opportunity to practice yoga in an intimate setting, where the focus is on developing and nurturing your practice, away from busy and overcrowded classes. Sara focuses on integrating CBT skills with her yoga class and will ask her students to connect with their inner experiences to enhance their yoga practice.

Every week, evidence-based CBT skills that have been proven to help manage stress will be introduced alongside a complimentary yoga practice.

This will be held on 26th September 2019.

Sleep and Restore workshop.

The first part of the workshop will focus on evidence-based CBT skills that have been proven to help promote and maintain good sleep. Sara will then lead you through a restorative yoga practice to facilitate relaxation before bed, ending with a guided imagery technique that has been proven to help switch busy minds off before bed.

This will be held on 12th of September 2019.
